Happy New Year!

IPL Treatments

Winter is the perfect time of year to have Intense Pulse Light treatments (IPL). This treatment dramatically improves broken blood vessels, rosacea, and sun damage/hyper-pigmentation caused by the sun’s damaging rays.

The IPL is not a laser, it is actually a light based treatment that can be safely used on skin types without a tan.

The face, chest, arms, and hands are very common areas with sun damage that would respond well to IPL treatments. Most patients need 2-4 sessions scheduled at four-week intervals for best results.

You can expect to feel a very mild sunburn-like sensation for 24 hours or less. Sun spots typically look darker for about 1 week then flake off on their own. The final result is a more even skin tone. Most patients feel they need much less cover up/foundation after having this treatment.
